Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants
I agree with a lot that Marc Prensky stated in his article. Yes there is a new generation, and yes educators need to find new ways to reaching them. As the English language left the "thee" and "thou" behind because it was out dated educators must also change how they speak to the students. Most students in elementary school today will have no idea what a floppy disk is, and most educators will not know what ROFL means. There has to be a common language in the schools, in this day and age the students will win, the educators need to change how they approach teaching. The first step is to use the technology as an advantage when teaching children.

Cassie, I agree that educators need to include technology in their classrooms. Technology will help them be able to reach their students and keep them focused on their education. Though I feel that educators must still continue teach students how to accomplish the same tasks without being fully dependent on technology for they may attend a college or university where a professor prefers the work done by hand. The educators must find a balance between technology and doing work by hand.
